
Nadya is a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow (Russia). Upon graduation she was invited to join the Kremlin Ballet as a soloist.
Nadya immigration to Israel in 1991, alongside her mother, Bolshoi Ballet dancer Nina Timofeyeva, at the invitation of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, marked a turning point in her career as a dancer and paved the way for her achievements in teaching, choreography, and company management.
Among her professional accomplishments in Israel as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer are:
Winning first prize in the Mia Arbatova Ballet Competition.
Performing as a soloist with the Valery Panov Ballet Company in Ashdod.
Co-founding the Jerusalem Ballet School alongside her mother and assuming its directorship following Nina’s retirement.
Establishing the Jerusalem Ballet Company (2008), where she served as principal soloist until 2012.
Under Nadya's meticulous guidance, students and graduates of the school have achieved remarkable success, winning awards at prestigious international ballet competitions such as YAGP and being accepted into elite ballet training programs at globally renowned institutions, including the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg (Russia) and the John Cranko School (Germany). Additionally, both teachers and students from abroad participate in her classes and coaching sessions via Zoom.

Allegory (2013), inspired by Dante Alighieri’s poem.

The Last Meeting (2014), based on the novel Eugene Onegin.
Manfred (2015), inspired by Lord Byron’s poem.
The Run (2016).
The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep (2018), based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale.
Memento – Franceska Mann’s Last Dance (2019), depicting the life and death in Auschwitz, of Polish-Jewish dancer Franceska Mann.
Amor (2020), based on a play by Lope de Vega.
A Magical Journey into the World of Fairy Tales – The Princess and the Pea (2021), inspired by Hans Christian Andersen.
Houdini – the Other Side (2024), exploring the life and persona of Jewish illusionist and escape artist Erik Weisz.
In 2014, Nadya was awarded the Yuri Stern Prize by the Minister of Aliyah and Integration for excellence and achievements in the field of culture, recognizing her special contribution to Israeli society and the arts.
Her work at the Jerusalem Ballet School was the subject of the 2019 Israeli documentary Underground Ballet, directed by Lina Chaplin.
