The Jerusalem Ballet Summer Course – An Extraordinary Experience!

Every year at the beginning of August, the Jerusalem Ballet School hosts a summer course taught by teachers from the Jerusalem Ballet Company and guest instructors from Israel and abroad. Over the course of two intense weeks, students experience a diverse range of dance classes and workshops and samplings in related fields.

About the guest teachers:

 

Aidan Nettles is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Florida Atlantic University (USA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Alabama (USA) and a Master of Arts (with distinction) from the University of Roehampton (UK). Aidan’s extensive training in classical ballet, modern dance, and jazz includes certification in the American Ballet Theatre (ABT®) National Training Curriculum (USA). Aiden has vast experience teaching students of all ages and levels. Her original choreographic works and educational contributions have
received international recognition.

Tamas Moricz, a native of Hungary and a graduate of the Hungarian National Ballet Academy (Vaganova method), is renowned for his close collaboration with choreographer William Forsythe during his years as a dancer with the Frankfurt Ballet (Germany), as well as with choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, with whom he co-directed the Royal Ballet of Flanders (Belgium).
As a teacher, Tamas integrates various training and teaching methods he experienced as a student and professional dancer, including Forsythe’s improvisational technologies, neuroscience, martial arts, yoga, Feldenkrais, and more.
