"He Walked Through the Fields" is a ballet, inspired by Moshe Shamir's novel from 1947, that premiered on the occasion of the State of Israel's 75th year of independence. The love of Mika, a Holocaust survivor, and Uri, the native born "Tsabar", as well as the framing story whereby members of Uri's Kibbutz gather to commemorate his death in the battle for the establishment of the State, continue to be relevant in the complex reality of our times.
