An original and wonderful piece by the Jerusalem Ballet, imbued with Zionism and Israeliness in a sweeping neoclassical language.
It's amazing to discover how much Moshe Shamir's canonical novel is becoming more relevant today than ever.

In honor of the 75th Independence Day of the State of Israel, and on the 15th anniversary of the Jerusalem Ballet Company, we are created a Ballet in the spirit of the famous novel by Moshe Shamir, telling the love story of Uri , who returns to the kibbutz, and Mika, a Holocaust survivor from Poland.
Music by Dmitri Shostakovich, Alfred Schnittke and more.
