The Jerusalem Ballet occupies an important place in the cultural mosaic of Jerusalem and Israel. The company consists of two parts: the Jerusalem Ballet School, founded in 2004, and the ballet troupe, created in 2008. The performances of the Jerusalem Ballet combine the traditions of the Russian ballet school and modern dance styles, including contemporary and neoclassical. All productions are original and have no analogues on the world stage. The company performs at many venues in Israel and abroad, participates in festivals around the world, and conducts active educational activities.
